We are mindful that every client has individual needs and preferences when working with a coach or supervisor, and we reflect this in each step of our coaching/supervision process.

 

Assessment of Needs:  As part of our chemistry/contracting session our coaches/supervisors would routinely discuss with the client what specific communication needs they may have – to understand their preferences, and styles. If the coach/supervisor felt they lacked experience to respond to the client’s needs, then they would refer the them to an alternative coach/supervisor in accordance with our codes of ethical practice (ICF, EMCC, BPS depending on coach/supervisor).

 

Flexible Coaching Models/Methods: We use a range of approaches in our coaching/supervision sessions, and all our coaches/supervisors take an integrative approach, using narrative methods, imagery, writing and embodied approaches, to accommodate diverse needs.

 

Continuous review: We seek feedback through the coaching/supervision programme, to understand how we are working together – including how the various models/methods employed are being experienced and adjust as needed.

 

By implementing these strategies, we create an inclusive environment that respects and supports an individual's communication preferences, ensuring their needs are effectively met.

 

The coaches/supervisors who work with us all have strong values and understanding around equality, diversity and inclusion and some have specific expertise in and lived experience in the fields of: disability, being a leader, being a family carer, and maintaining performance and careers through difficult life transitions such as parenting, menopause and organisational change. Our associate coaches/supervisors have significant experience in working with neurodiversity including ADHD, and of working with leaders with disabilities.
